Its the lack of milk drank by the older generations i believe. Calcium is mostly known for effecting bones. But it also effect nail growth as well as hair. Is it the keratin? Something like that.
Many older adults have never even tasted milk ( after they stopped breastfeeding that is)
Osteoporosis is hugely under diagnosed in China and as it effects women far more then men, you see alot more bald women than in other places. They also just naturally have very thin hair which doesnt help.
I also suspect this lack of milk problem is the cause of pregnant women not being able to leave the bed for a month after giving birth. ( all parents will know what I am talking about) Touching cold water or any wind will make a women very unhealthy after giving birth and will later effect the woman when shes old, with very painful bones they say.
Seems like if i woman doesnt have any calcium intake at all and then gives every drop of it to her child via breastfeeding she wont feel well. And well the most common symptom of osteoporosis is brittle bones in older women.
So men, force your girls to drink alot of milk, then she wont stay in bed for a month being waited on hand and foot. Worked for me! Mine was up in 3 days like nothing happened.
Because Chinese are not as healthy as they claim to be.
It is worth noting that this middle aged generation grew up in extreme poverty under Mao's rule, and have had to endure the hardship of life much more than the current youth. More hardship = aging faster, it is no surprise that anywhere in the world the life expectancy grows exponentially with mechanization of labor and access to material comfort, can't be more precise.
Also there is all the bullshit involving TCM, most of which is based on myths and has no scientific basis at all. Basically they would certainly eat their own feces if some TCM guru was telling them that doing so can stop or reverse balding, but then again the guru wouldn't make any profit from this, so not going to happen.
Finally, studies have proven that some ethnic groups are more prone to specific diseases or characteristics than others, it's not racism, it's science. Han Chinese are more prone to dengue fever and the bird flu than let's say the Koreans or the Vietnamese, hence why there are always many cases of these two diseases in China every year. Maybe they are also more prone to balding, I saw a recent article saying that one in four Chinese men are going bald, including many youth. Anti-hair loss drugs are a big BIG business these days in China, even though here again there are no studies proving their efficiency, only myths and marketing with Jackie Chan.
The young generation is healthier even though they live in a toxic environment, simply because they are not starving and a varied nutrition is the very base for good health.
